The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams : A review (spoilers)
Sara Nisha Adams is a brilliant author and I would describe the reading list as a proper novel. First, because it is a novel about other novels and second it follows the structure and method of most novels. There are no big surprises and everything happens as expected until they do not and this creates a slow burn effect. It reminded me so much of "To Kill a Mockingbird" which was also one of the books on the reading list. I could see similarities between these two books especially since the two books have a focus on domestic life. The characters in the reading list are believable and I grew very fond of Mukesh and his amusing ways. While the stories of Aleisha and Mukesh were beautiful and heartbreaking. There were other characters who weren't done as much justice. Aidan, for one, while I understand was not a main character deserved more attention since he was going to be sacrificed at the end to evoke some sort of twist.
